A number of IT projects span across the university and involve the collaborative effort of all the Information Technology Service departments. When possible, units are working together to find common solutions. Each campus must also address their own specific needs. The below dashboard identifies a number of collaborative IT projects as well as high priority campus specific efforts that will enable One University. Four Campuses. One Nebraska.

Decommission Enterprise Server

Identify and transition existing business processing to alternative tools and resources. Dispose of all associated mainframe assets and related software licensing and maintenance.

Work on replacement of business processes and data retention was completed as of 3/30/18. Focus will be on hardware removal.

Nebraska.edu Redesign

Improve look and functionality for the Nebraska.edu website using new branding. The website will be multi-device accessible and align with the University's goals and marketing objectives.

Offices and Policies area is being developed. Project is in an amber state due to resource time to review and edit content from the old website to fit the current design.

NeSIS Two-Factor (Duo) Authentication

Implement two-factor authentication for faculty and staff with access to high-risk data elements as defined by the data governance committee.

Phase 1 which included NeSIS system for individuals with access to high-risk data is complete. Phase 2 which included opt in for faculty and staff is complete. Phase 3 will include an opt in for students and is scheduled for the third quarter of 2018.
