ITS, in its commitment to accessibility, is creating an IT Accessibility Advisory Board, which will guide future efforts related to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) procurement, resources and tools, policy, and campus support. The board will meet quarterly and establish liaisons and a working group team to assess, review and work together to make technology more accessible at the University of Nebraska.
Working Group and Lab
The working group team consists of passionate developers, designers and content professionals who understand accessibility and can test and assess technology either through heuristic reviews or user experience testing.
As part of the working group, and during the 2019-20 academic year, ITS will establish a virtual lab, working with students, staff or faculty at each campus to test products and services using assistive technology. The findings will be reported to the advisory team and or procurement and used for future enhancements.

IT Accessibility Liaisons and Community News
A larger stakeholder committee with liaisons from different audiences of the University of Nebraska System will be able to sign up for newsletters, list-servers and other regular communications. More information will be shared in October how to sign up. All are welcome!
