A number of IT projects span across the university and involve the collaborative effort of all the Information Technology Service departments. When possible, units are working together to find common solutions. Each campus must also address their own specific needs. The below dashboard identifies a number of collaborative IT projects as well as high priority campus specific efforts that will enable One University. Four Campuses. One Nebraska.

NeSIS is upgrading the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application to version 9.2 as delivered by Oracle.
Identify and transition existing business processing to alternative tools and resources. Dispose of all associated mainframe assets and related software licensing and maintenance.

Business processes identified, required purchases are complete and work to transition and/or implement replacement processes is ongoing.
Review, recommend and implement a new hardware platform and associated software components that supports the functions and services currently housed and processed on the MVS Enterprise Server. This effort includes the conversion of the current MVS / DB2 platform used for the transactional SAP system, as well as all of the technical processes that support the SAP database platform. It also includes all software and integration processes provided on the MVS Server.

Initial servers have arrived, are physically installed and configured, and work is being done to set up servers virtually in Linux. The sandbox environment will be up and running first week of August. An additional server will be purchased and housed in Omaha for recovery purposes. Developing timeline for purchase of additional equipment and implementation.
Improve look and functionality for the Nebraska.edu website using new branding. The website will be multi-device accessible and align with the University's goals and marketing objectives.
Additional enhancements were made to the Board of Regents area. Offices and Policies area is being developed. Project is in an amber state due to resource time to review and edit content from the old website to fit the current design.
Implement the HANA database for the SAP Business Warehouse to comply to SAP's database support roadmap.

The SAP HANA Business Warehouse systems have been fully implemented allowing for better performance and sets SAP up for future support and processes. This project helps prepare for converting the SAP HANA ECC environment.
Restructure and implement a responsive design throughout the University of Nebraska High School website that will improve the user experience.

Goal for go live is July 11 which will allow for two week marketing campaign to promote the new website and for additional content review.
